Find Your Place to Breathe Deeply
Even in this windowless room, stillness and warmth quietly pour in.
Gazing at a forest mural from the
shelter of a cave, you feel your tension melt away.
This is more than a treatment room—it is a place
to pause, reclaim your breath, and simply be.
Te Taira: A Space to Reclaim Your Breath
We turned the absence of windows to our advantage, creating the feeling of “looking out at a forest from
inside a cave.”
A mural inspired by that very image spreads across the treatment-room wall.
The NOREN curtain comes from Katsuyama in Okayama, Japan.
Each panel of natural fabric is carefully chosen and dyed in layers of seasonal hues.
Everything you see and touch is here for one purpose—to help you feel completely at ease.

I recommend Daisuke wholeheartedly! He is a gentle, intuitive and powerful healer and his skills with acupuncture are unparalleled (and I've experienced many practitioners in different parts of the world). Every treatment leaves me feeling restored, calm and balanced. He is a compassionate listener and he also provides insight and wisdom into your underlying constitution that I have found to be very helpful. His space also feels like an oasis of calm and tranquility.

Daisuke is unbelievable - his professionalism, caring nature, knowledge of the body are next to none. He is absolutely world class!! His anatomy and ability to diagnose is incredible - as a physiotherapist, I don't say this lightly - by far the best acupuncturist I have ever seen. From my first appointment he was able to help with my concussion symptoms and frozen shoulder like no one else has. I trust him fully and can't wait until my next treatment. He is busy for a reason!! Look no further, trust me.

The best in town. For a man that does no advertising, Daisuke sure is busy, and this comes as a result of being the best practitioner in Queenstown with the attitude, energy and space to match. Always a relaxing and healing experience with Taira Acupuncture.

I have been seeing Daisuke for acupuncture for over 2 years now and I would not go anywhere else! Every session is tailored to your body's needs on that day, and Daisuke is very intuitive. I recently visited him for a massage too which was fantastic. Highly recommend Daisuke!

I had an injury/niggle for just over two years and it become something I unfortunately accepted that I'd have to live with, after trying absolutely everything to get to the bottom of what it could be, my best friend said hey hit up Daisuke, and when I checked he had an available date that was fairly soon (which if anybody knows is hard to get) so I jumped at the opportunity and with regular sessions my injury had gone. I had actually forgot about it until one day I realized it was gone.

Daisuke is an absolute magician. I’ve seen him on and off for a few years now, usually when lots is happening in life and I feel more stressed or anxious than usually. By the end of each session I feel reset to a level of calm and clarity. Being very sensitiv to any kind of treatment, I appreciate how well Daisuke reads what is happening in my body and understands exactly what I need to feel balanced again. He’s also got a great sense of humour. 100% recommend seeing him for holistic support.
